Windows 7 kms activation error disable hibernation
Symptom
When you try to activate Windows 7, you receive an error message:
"Windows could not be activated."
Resolution
Turn off hibernation.
It was a desktop, so hibernation function was not important.
Shut down, turned off the power and given Multiple Activation Key (MAK) didnt work.
Manually:
Open an Administrator command prompt:
Disable hibernation: powercfg -h off
Enable hibernation: powercfg -h on
Automatically:
Run these Microsoft Fix it softwares:
Disable hibernation.
Re-enable hibernation.
